Something New

I know I haven’t been around much lately. I had some family obligations come up and needed to take some time to recharge. Not sure when I’ll be back to a regular blog post schedule, but don’t give up on me.

I did want to share some exciting news. I’m joining 14 other authors in a new venture. We’ll be blogging Monday through Friday, bringing original fiction, book reviews and other fun stuff. We’ll have the blog on Amazon so if you have a Kindle and want to pay Amazon’s convenience fee, you can have it automatically uploaded to your device. Or you can go to the blog directly and read for free.

I’ll be posting twice a month. I’ve decided to release my werewolf novella as a serial, available at The Digital Digest (our blog). I’ll have more information as we get closer to the launch date of June 1.

I hope you check me out on The Digital Digest.

Early Bird Check List

You may have noticed the Blogmania badge on the left side of my blog. What is Blogmania, you say? Well, for one day, every blog that is registered with Blogmania will provide a list of participating blogs. Why? So you can find some fun, new blogs and we'll do all the work for you. On this day, April 30, each and every blog will be giving away a cool gift. I'm still working out my giveaway, but it will be great. Each blog will have its own requirements for the gift, so make sure you read each one closely. Below is the Early Bird Check List. Get ready, folks. Not long now.

Blogmania Early Bird Check List:

We want all of our visiting guests in our first Blogmania Event scheduled for April 30th to Get On Their Marks-Get Set…

It's not time to go yet, but if you want to have the most fun and scoop up as much loot as possible, here are a few Early Bird Reminders to help you do just that.

1.   Be at any of the blogs participating in the Blogmania Event as early as possible on April 30th.   The easiest way to find a Blogmania Blog is to look for the Blogmania Badge.

2. This is an international event, so understand that there will be some differences in time zones.  My advice is to start early and stay late to catch all the blogs.

3.  Each blog will have their own giveaway requirements. Read them carefully, follow through, and then move on as quickly as possible. If you run across a blog that you really like and want to spend some time exploring, copy their URL and then visit them after Blogmania is over.

4.  We will have a 100+ blogs for you to visit. Each one will post their number like this. (This is blog 64 of 106) This is to help you keep track of which blogs you've visited, and which ones you still need to reach. I'd suggest that you prepare a blog sheet which is numbered from 1 – 120, then mark off each numbered blog as you visit them.

5.   All blog links provided will also have a number like (Blog 89 of 100). Look for the blogs that you haven't yet visited and follow those links until you've checked off all the blogs on your sheet.

6.  We have all types of blogs participating in Blogmania, which means that the range of items in their giveaways are diverse. I have previewed many and they are awesome.

7.  Why not contact a friend and partner up. Compare notes, share loot, or organize your own friendly neighborhood Blogmania Competition.

Monday, Monday

Considering I had to go into the part time job this morning and got a late start on the writing, today has been a pretty great day for me. The sun is shining here in Bavaria, Germany and the snow is melting. I'm so close to finishing the first draft of Blood Diamond, I can't sit still. Anyway, first things first.

My goals last week were to finish chapters six and seven of Blood Diamond. Check. Blog Monday through Friday. Check. Yay!!! Two weeks into posting my weekly writing goals and I'm doing great. ;)

So, for this coming week, I plan to finish chapters eight and nine of Blood Diamond. I believe that will bring my Congo adventure to an end. Well, at least the first draft. Of course I will revise, edit, and polish. I also plan to continue my blogging. I do have an award to live up to, you know.

Okay, so it's not a real award but it's still fun. If you remember, Friday I mentioned that Delilah Devlin nominated me for a prolific blogger award. I'm a fairly new blogger so I got a big kick from it. As a winner of this prestigious award, I must link to at least seven other prolific bloggers. It's a fun way to promote traffic to sites and introduce people to new blogs that they may not have found themselves.

Each prolific blogger must link to the blog he/she received the award. So everyone listed below must link back to my blog so folks can check out the other winners.

Below are my nominees. They have fun and informative blogs and they blog fairly regular so check back often.

Bria Quinlan
Delilah Devlin
Denise Golinowski
Gale Stanley
Murder She Writes – This group blog features my chapter-mate Laura Griffin.
Terry Spear
Victoria Janssen

That's it for me today. I've got people to save in the African rain forest. What are some of your favorite blogs to visit?
